Hello world, I sure hope you haven't had the FLU. Not any of them, there are so many I can't keep count, how about you? Remember the day when you had a fever, runny nose, and a few aches and pains and that was the flu? Well things sure have changed alot since then. Today the flu can kill you, and has several of our younger people here in the US. Is it like a plague? I don't know but I do know that there needs to be something done about it. Why can't we get the shots? Are the pharmaceutical companies holding back for more money? What a shame that money is more important than lives are, don't you agree? Where did this flu come from? They call it the swine flu but exactly what does that mean? I know I am not well educated in this area but are you not asking the same questions?

Punishment for children today seems to be extinct, we use the word discipline more often now, but exactly what does this mean?
I have heard my parents say that their discipline was a trip to the wood shed. Interesting, just what happened in that wood shed? Today parents try to be more understanding of the problem and communicate more with their children on what is right or wrong. Sometimes that helps, but a child is still going to try to push to the limit, then what do you do? To correct without punishment or discipline is good, but does it work?
Take a look at Http://www.publicpointofview.com/2009/10/04/proper-punishment-for-children-.html. There is great information on this site on how to "punish" or "discipline" or child.

Hello world, how are things going? Erbie here and I want to tell you how important "family" is to me. It seems that when we are in the mist of raising our families we don't realize just how important they are to us, then one day when they are grown and living their own lives, WOW, we think where did the time go? It is very important to realize that time flys and before you know it all those precious moments you had with your family are gone. In today's world everyone is so busy just trying to get by and we forget that the most important thing is love. If the world was as full of love as it is hate and discontent then things would be a lot different, don't you think? Love for our God is the most important, and love for our families is right up there too. Do you take time to thank God for your family? Do you take time to thank your family and show them the appreciation they need? Let's examine ourselves and our families and see if we are apreciating all the wonderful blessings we are given everyday. When the world can LOVE one another and be there for each other then maybe all the stress and aggrevation will go away. I think it's worth a try, don't you? Take the time today to tell your family, husband, children, mother, father, brothers, sisters, etc., that you love them. Erbie

Modern science has found marijuana may have a place in treatment of numerous disorders. Let’s look at Marijuana’s past. In China, marijuana has been utilized as medicine for 4,000 years, treating vomiting, internal bleeding and as an anesthetic. As far back as the 18th century B.C., Egyptian texts refer to medical marijuana. The Islamic world applied use of Marijuana as early as the 8th century. In the 5 Middle East marijuana was put into their steam baths. Ancient Greek texts reveal both human and veterinary applications for medical marijuana.
Modern history reports marijuana use medicinally worldwide by the 19th century. It became less employed with the discovery of aspirin. Dr. O’Shaunghnessy, herbal professor of India, conducted animal tests in the 1830s and then applied it to human use for migraines, depression, pain and convulsions. Marijuana was found helpful in glaucoma to prevent blindness in 1973. Utilized against addiction, migraine and loss of appetite for chemotherapy patients early as the 1970’s, medical marijuana was studied by the US State Health Departments. In 2003 the paper “Cannabinoids as Antioxidants and Neuroprotectants” opened eyes to the benefits of medical marijuana for stroke, degenerative and Autoimmune diseases.
Two synthetic drugs have been created to mimic marijuana’s THC, yet they seem not to have the same effect or ease of dosing. Currently 13 US States have laws permitting the use of medical marijuana by prescription for numerous diseases. 21st century research shows marijuana’s usefulness for muscle spasms, digestive, bowel and mental health disorders, spinal cord injuries, Arthritis, Diabetic Retinopathy, Hepatitis C, Huntington, Parkinson, and Crohn’s Diseases. Marijuana’s use still remains controversial.
